A widely experienced Arbitrator who has been practicing for over 20 years, by appointment of both the regular courts of justice and by consensual appointment of disputing parties, addressing matters such as company dissolutions, inheritances, and marital partnerships, executing the respective liquidations and partitions, and resolving any civil and commercial disputes.
For several decades he has been a private attorney for important banking and financial entities in the country. He also practices as an attorney-at-law in lawsuits and defenses for a range of clients in both civil and commercial cases, in both regular courts and arbitrations.
Mr. Appelgren studied at the Law Faculty at the Universidad Diego Portales and was admitted to practice as an Attorney by the Honorable Supreme Court in 1994.
María José Appelgren has been a partner at the law firm since 2014.
She leads the Appelgren Abogados litigation team and works as an attorney-at-law on private-civil-commercial law matters and on corporate bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings in both regular courts and arbitrations.
Mrs. Appelgren studied at the Law Faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and was admitted to practice as an Attorney by the Honorable Supreme Court in 2014.

José Miguel Delpin has been an associate at the law firm since 2019.
He mainly practices real estate and corporate law, as well as regulatory matters.
Mr. Delpin studied at the Law Faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and was admitted to practice as an Attorney by the Honorable Supreme Court in 2013.

Sebastián Pizarro has been an associate at the law firm since 2019.
He has a wealth of experience in admiralty and insurance law, working with key stakeholders in the sector, advising both in litigations and on alternative conflict resolution methods.
Mr. Pizarro studied at the Law Faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and was admitted to practice as an Attorney by the Honorable Supreme Court in 2013.
Between 2015-2016 he completed a MSc on Maritime Affairs WMU, in Malmö, Sweden.

Ismael Verdugo has been an associate at the law firm since 2017.
He has a wealth of teaching experience and was the first director of the Law Degree course at the Universidad Católica del Norte in Antofagasta. He has been a leading lecturer on Civil Law at several law faculties throughout the country, now working at the Universidad Andrés Bello in Santiago.
He has also served on several occasions at Military Court-Martials, in the capacity as Incumbent Minister.
Today he exercises civil law and contentious-administrative law, in both regular and special courts. Mr. Verdugo studied at the Law Faculty at the Universidad de Chile and was admitted to practice as an Attorney by the Honorable Supreme Court in 1981.
